Screenplay Advisor Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Screenplay Advisor mobile app, Studio web app, shared package pages, and related website. In these Terms, "we," "us," and "our" refer to the app provider, and "you" refers to the person or organization using the app or website.

By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. App purpose

Screenplay Advisor is a screenplay production assistant that uses a third-party cloud AI service for cloud processing. It helps users turn scene briefs into screenplay pages, Character Bible entries, shot lists, storyboard prompts, and production notes using the Screenplay Advisor / Cinematic Matrix framework. The app considers story force, production clarity, character consistency, and export readiness.

The app is intended to support creative drafting and production planning. It does not provide legal, financial, compliance, accounting, regulatory, or professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing outputs and making your own creative and production decisions.

2. Limited license

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app for lawful personal, educational, or internal creative-production purposes.

You may not copy, resell, redistribute, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, interfere with, or create unauthorized derivative works from the app, its interface, or its content except where applicable law expressly allows it.

You may not use robots, automated extraction tools, scraping, prompt-extraction techniques, or similar methods to collect, reproduce, or exploit the app or its outputs in a way that violates these Terms or applicable law.

3. User inputs and outputs

You are responsible for the prompts, scene briefs, characters, settings, story concepts, and other material you enter into the app. Do not enter content that you do not have the right to use, content that violates law, or content that intentionally includes sensitive personal information unless you have authority to process it.

Your prompt is sent to a third-party cloud AI service for processing and may be subject to that provider's applicable terms, privacy policies, and service behavior. Do not use the app for confidential, regulated, or sensitive information unless you have determined that cloud processing is appropriate.

The app may produce incomplete, incorrect, inconsistent, or unexpected output. You should independently verify important creative, rights, safety, and production decisions before relying on it. You are responsible for any legal, creative, production, or operational decisions you make based on app output.

Unless you intentionally provide or request real-world material, app-generated names, characters, businesses, organizations, places, events, scenes, dialogue, and story elements are fictional. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or to actual events, organizations, brands, places, or rights holders is unintended and coincidental. App output is not intended to identify, depict, imply endorsement by, or create an association with any real person, entity, brand, or rights holder.

4. Shared package links

Studio may let account holders create share links for read-only package snapshots. Shared package pages can be viewed by anyone with the URL, including people who do not have an account. You are responsible for deciding whether a package is appropriate to share and for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to share the submitted brief, Studio context, saved-package name, generated output, and any related information shown in the snapshot.

Do not create or distribute shared links that contain confidential, regulated, sensitive personal, proprietary, or third-party information unless you are authorized to make that information available to every person who receives the URL. Revoking a share link may stop future access through our service, but it does not undo access that already occurred and does not delete copies, screenshots, downloads, messages, posts, or other redistributions made by viewers.

Shared package output remains informational creative assistance only. It is not legal, financial, compliance, regulatory, accounting, safety, rights-clearance, or other professional advice, and you may not present it as a final professional determination or as our endorsement of a project.

5. Prohibited uses

You may not use the app to violate law or third-party rights; promote unlawful, deceptive, abusive, hateful, threatening, sexually exploitative, or harmful conduct; impersonate others; generate spam, harassment, trolling, abusive content, or intentionally misleading material; misrepresent the app output as a final legal or professional determination; interfere with app operation or security; or attempt to bypass restrictions, extract proprietary assets, or misuse Google Play or other distribution mechanisms.

6. Third-party services

If you install the app through Google Play, Google Play may deliver app components to your device. The app sends prompts directly to a third-party cloud AI service. Google Play, the cloud AI service, and your device platform may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control those third-party services.

The app requires cloud processing for responses. If the cloud AI service or internet access is unavailable, the app may be unable to complete a package.

7. Intellectual property

The app, text, interface, design, documentation, trademarks, service marks, and other content are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

You may create a hyperlink to publicly available pages about the app or related website so long as the link is not false, misleading, derogatory, offensive, or damaging. You may not use our logos, trademarks, or proprietary graphics without prior written permission.

8. Availability and changes

We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every device, or available at all times. App operation may depend on internet access, cloud AI service availability, operating system version, and Google Play services.

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time. We may also update these Terms. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Enforcement

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the app or related services if we believe you have violated these Terms, misused the app, created risk for others, or violated applicable law.

10. Entertainment, no professional advice, and assumption of risk

The app's scores, classifications, and packages are generated for creative and illustrative purposes only. They do not represent objective quality standards, rights clearance, safety approval, or professional production advice.

The content provided by the app does not constitute legal, financial, safety, rights-clearance, or professional production advice. You should consult qualified professionals before implementing high-stakes production, legal, safety, or distribution decisions. Use of the app does not create an advisor-client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship.

By using the app, you acknowledge that creative and production decisions involve inherent risks. You are solely responsible for the consequences of any actions taken based on information provided by the app. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, usefulness, or suitability of any package, score, classification, or other app output.

11. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, availability, uninterrupted operation, and any warranty that the app's packages will be complete, correct, or suitable for your intended use.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we, the developers, and the owners of the app will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profit, loss of data, business interruption, reputational harm, legal action, or decisions made in reliance on app output, resulting from your use of or reliance on the app or its content.
